The Great Lock-In 2025: Week 4 Check-In

I’ve committed myself to The Great Lock-In of 2025. This is my 7-ish week intentional devotion to myself. I am planning on using this extended period to build foundational habits to change my life. This is not a sprint, it’s a season of focus. I am locking in to myself, my goals, and my well-being.

These are my four pillars of focus:

  • Career & Business: Consistency in my side hustle.
  • Health & Physique: Foundational habits for vitality.
  • Personal Development: Consistent creative exploration.
  • Self-Care: Rituals of respect and care.

My Mantra for the Lock-In:

“Consistency over intensity. Progress over perfection.”


Week 4 Log: September 22 – September 28

Overall Week Sentiment:
What the fuck is wrong with my body?! 😫

Focus Check-In:

Career & Business:

  • Action Taken: Finish the planner.
  • Win: The planner is done! 🎉
  • Challenge: I set up the shop but haven’t posted anything to it yet.
  • Next Step: Launch. Post my planner to the shop page. Start planning ‘promo’.

Health & Physique:

  • Action Taken: Started a new running program to improve my 5K time and went to the gym twice.
  • Win: I’ve noticed small, small improvements with my running.
  • Challenge: I didn’t plan my workouts, felt overwhelmed, and didn’t hit my goal. Dealing with frustrating body pains.
  • Next Step: Same shit as last week. Just keeping up habits.

Personal Development:

  • Action Taken: Went to the library to work on my shit.
  • Win: I pushed through my anxiety and asked for help when I needed it.
  • Challenge: Dealing with irritation for tripping over things that “I got over already.”
  • Next Step: Lean into creativity as an outlet when stress and anxiety build up.

Self-Care:

  • Action Taken: Spent time doing haircare.
  • Win: I complimented myself several times this week. 💖
  • Challenge: My night routine. 🙄 (The eternal struggle continues.)
  • Next Step: Same as last week. I’m going to keep at it until it sticks.

What I Learned This Week:

“I’m grateful for the progress I’ve made this month.”

Even with experiencing body pains, I see it. I understand now more than ever the importance of consistency, especially on the days when I feel really overwhelmed. Showing up in even a small way, is what makes a difference.

Intention for Week 5 (Sept 29 – Oct 4):

I’m focusing on consistency over everything. Going into the new month, I’m excited to see what happens with this journey and what new things I can learn about myself. ✨
