Have you ever felt the pull to just… shut everything else out and focus? To block out the noise and finally build the life you keep picturing in your head?
That’s where I am. So, for the next four months, I’m doing something radical. I’m participating in The Great Lock-In of 2025.
This isn’t about isolation or deprivation. It’s the opposite. It’s about a conscious, intentional commitment to locking in on myself—my goals, my health, my creativity, and my well-being. From September 1st until the end of the year, I’m treating this not as the year’s end, but as a launchpad for the next.
The Four Pillars of My Lock-In
I decided on these 4 pillars that I want to focus on. I LOVE to plan, but when it comes to action, I’m usually lacking so these are the areas in my life that I believe will move the needle forward for me.
1. Career & Business: The Side Hustle Sprint
I’ve always talked about building a digital product. Now, I’m doing it. My goal for this Lock-In isn’t to make a million dollars (though that would be nice!). It’s to be consistent. It’s to prove to myself that I can have an idea and follow it through from conception to creation. For the next 17 weeks, I’m showing up for my side hustle, no matter how small the step forward may be each day.
2. Health & Physique: Rebuilding the Foundation
My body has been sending me signals—low energy, high cholesterol, restless sleep—and I’ve been ignoring them. No more. This Lock-In is about listening. It’s about establishing non-negotiable habits: moving my body daily, nourishing it with real food, and prioritizing sleep. This is my journey back to feeling strong and vibrant, one healthy choice at a time.
3. Personal Development: The Joy of Curiosity
Life isn’t just about work and health. It’s about passion and play. This pillar is my commitment to never stop exploring. I’m dedicating time to read, to write just for me, to dust off old hobbies and try new ones. This is where I reconnect with the parts of myself that get buried under a never-ending to-do list.
4. Self-Care: The Ritual of Respect
This is the most important pillar. It’s the foundation for all the others. For me, self-care isn’t just bubble baths (though those are great). It’s the daily rituals that signal to myself, “You are worth the effort.” It’s consistent skincare, taking care of my hair, meditating for five minutes, and literally putting my best foot forward. It’s the practice of treating myself with the same care I so easily give to others.
My Promise to Myself
I know this won’t be easy. There will be days I’d rather binge a show than work on my planner, or order pizza instead of cooking. That’s why my mantra for this journey is:
“Consistency over intensity. Progress over perfection.”
I’m not aiming for 17 perfect weeks. I’m aiming for 17 weeks of showing up, again and again, even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard.
Why I’m Publishing This
I’m putting this out into the world for two reasons:
1. Accountability. Putting my intentions on blast makes them real. It means I can’t quietly back out when it gets uncomfortable.
2. Community. Maybe you feel this pull too. Maybe you’ve also been waiting for that “perfect” time to start. Let me tell you: it doesn’t exist. I’m sharing this journey—the wins, the struggles, the lessons—to show what it looks like to try, publicly and imperfectly.
This is my Great Lock-In. Each week, I’ll be back with a log, a check-in, and the real, unfiltered update on how it’s going.
Here’s to locking in on what truly matters.
