Get High and Listen to Beyoncé

One of my favorite pastimes lately has been to indulge in an adult gummy and just listen to music. If that’s something you might be interested in, let me make a suggestion: get high and listen to Beyoncé’s Renaissance album.

There are no skips, in my opinion. It’ll take you on a ride. The way the tracks blend into each other and flow like a river—her voice, the background vocals, the music, the production—it’s an adventure.

I dance around my room, moving my body in a way that feels sacred, like I have no cares in the world. I’ve never felt more alive.

The way “Alien Superstar” has me feeling so alive in my body
(“I’m the bar / Alien Superstar / Whip Whip”)
This is what I love—the feeling of being 100% in my body and having the music flow through every cell.

It’s magical.
And it’s a reminder that we are magical, somewhere deep down. That same force that lets her voice bend and soar is the same thing inside us that wants to create, to connect, to get out. (I feel like I sound a little whoo-whoo…)

It would be so amazing if we could fly through the stars, travel the universe to see what’s out there.
Until then, this is my ritual: a little devil’s lettuce, a transformative album, and a dance floor that is my own bedroom.

So yeah. Get high and listen to that shit. It just might change your life.
